Fruit of The Spirit

‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.’ Galatians 5:22-23

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit has fruit and that fruit has 9 tangible expressions which are detailed in the verse above. We cannot call ourselves believers in name only without having a tangible demonstration of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. It’s important that we walk the talk. But don’t forget that it’s impossible to demonstrate the fruit without having an active relationship with the Holy Spirit who is the bearer and giver of the fruit.

In this study, we looked at each of these expressions of the fruit of the Spirit and how they are individually and collectively applicable to our lives.

Our prayer is that this study blesses you and draws you into a closer relationship with the Holy Spirit. Click Here to download the study.

The Seen & Unseen Realms

‘While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.’ II Corinthians 4:18

The Bible tells us clearly that there are two realms – the seen and unseen. These two realms are not only connected, one relies heavily on what happens in the other. How do we know how to successfully navigate both realms if we don’t know what the connection between the two is?

In this study we looked at what this connection is and the navigation tools of both realms as it concerns:

  1. The unseen
  2. Our words
  3. God’s word
  4. Prayer
  5. Fasting
  6. The Name of Jesus
  7. The enemy

I pray this study opens your eyes and adds to your armory as the Lord equips you to walk and work effectively.

Elijah The Prophet

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.’ 1 Kings 17:1

‘Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.’ II Kings 2:11

We are introduced to Elijah when he made a bold proclamation before Ahab, the king and God honoured his declaration. Elijah’s ministry was characterized by his intimacy with and zeal for the things of God. The Lord used Elijah in working many miracles from withholding rain for years to calling down fire from heaven on more than one occasion. He was human and therefore also showed his vulnerability. However, in spite of his fears he never let go of God. To the extent that he’s one of the few people recorded in the Bible as not dying but being taken up into heaven.

In this series we are studying Elijah the prophet, his ministry and walk with God. I pray this study blesses you and increases your desire for intimacy with God and passion for the things of God.
