“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
We live in a world where visibility is often mistaken for significance. We can become so accustomed to likes, applause, titles and public recognition that, without realising it, we begin measuring the value of what we do by whether anyone notices.
But God measures differently.
“I know all the things you do…” Revelation 2:2
God doesn’t look for publicity; He looks for faithfulness. Some assignments will place us in the spotlight, while others will happen quietly where few people will ever know what we did. Yet every act of obedience matters when it contributes to God’s agenda.
The Bible is filled with famous names, but it also deliberately records people who appeared briefly, performed seemingly small acts of obedience and disappeared from the narrative. We may easily overlook them, but God didn’t.
And that should encourage us.
Perhaps you’re serving, giving, praying, supporting, opening doors or helping someone else fulfil their assignment without receiving much recognition. Don’t underestimate what God can accomplish through your quiet obedience.
Over the next seven days, we’ll look at some of these less-visible people and discover why God took note of them. Click here to download the study,
