“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.” Colossians 1:9-10 NLT
There are some verses in the Bible that one can term ‘compound verses’ because they contain so many elements. The content of Colossians 1:9-10 definitely qualify as compound verses as they’re packed with so much insight and power.
For instance, early in verse 9 we see that it’s actually possible to have complete knowledge of God’s will. We also see that it’s possible for us to navigate both natural and spiritual realms successfully through spiritual wisdom and understanding. These are some of the things that alter our prayer patterns from seeking breakthroughs to walking in consistent victory.
