🚨Dominion

🚨Sonship
“For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Romans 8:29

🚨The Marketplace

 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver…and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. Revelation 18:11-13

Every marketplace (formal and informal) has both physical and spiritual dimensions and God’s mandate to us in the marketplace is clear. Successfully dominating in the marketplace, is a function of governance based on identity not necessarily hierarchy. How we operate and what we demonstrate is closely tied to who we represent. So as representatives of Jesus must understand 5 key areas that will impact our execution of this mandate:

📌Our assignment
📌Our empowerment
📌Our tribe
📌Our opposition

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?… 1 Corinthians 6:19

When we think of the expansion of God’s kingdom, we may sometimes think of it as setting up churches, crusades and the like. These are great, but only form a part of God’s expansion program. The expansion of the children of God is the expansion of the kingdom of God here on earth. Because when we function as He created us to and allow the Holy Spirit to fully express Himself through our lives, whenever and wherever we show up, we bring God’s kingdom and its principles into that environment. And it’s God desire that His children fulfil their dominion mandate.

This means our ability to expand our territories as God’s children isn’t a function of how well read, charismatic or connected we are. Rather God works with a different set of indices and principles based on which He promotes and expands. This series we are looking at the principles for significant enlargement, trusting that the Holy Spirit will open our eyes to the unlimited possibilities available to us in Him. ”One day a petition was presented by the daughters of Zelophehad… These women stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the tribal leaders, and the entire community at the entrance of the Tabernacle….Why should the name of our father disappear from his clan just because he had no sons? Give us property along with the rest of our relatives.” So Moses brought their case before the Lord. And the Lord replied to Moses, “The claim of the daughters of Zelophehad is legitimate. You must give them a grant of land along with their father’s relatives. Assign them the property that would have been given to their father.” Numbers 27:1-2, 4-7

Zelophehad had 5 daughters and no son at a time when the prevalent culture in Israel was that only men could claim their father’s inheritance. These 5 women had two options: they could either accept the status quo and watch their father’s inheritance in the promised land go to someone else, or they could dare to boldly challenge this culture.

It’s worth noting that at the time they brought forth this petition, nothing like this had ever been done in Israel before so there was no precedence. More importantly the Lord agreed with them, so by reason of their petition there was a change in the law about inheritance for women in similar situations. The Bible can be defined as a compendium of God’s promises, prophecies and principles, with the principles of God being critical to maximizing His promises and prophecies. Life is not random or sentimental, rather it’s governed by principles and the principles we employ determine our outcomes.

One of the things principles teach us is how to address situations before they even arise. It’s not in the middle of a crisis or when presented with an unexpected opportunity that we should start trying to figure out what to do. Ideally we would have already sown seeds in the necessary principles so we are equipped to adapt what we know in order to win. Our proficiency in implementing principles depends on what we know and how we use what we know. This helps us live with minimal inconsistencies as we are assured that in all situations we are indeed more than conquerors. Welcome to the year 2024! The beginning of a new calendar year often brings hope and expectations. January is typically the time when a lot of attention is paid to prophetic words and a lot of plans are made for the coming months sometimes in the form of what we call resolutions. Unfortunately, some resolutions do not go past the first month and by February, the hopes, excitement and expectations die down and things are back to status quo.

From our respective experiences over the years, we will likely have realized that regardless of how well thought out and formulated our plans are and regardless of the number of prophetic words we may have received, they will not automatically become a reality. What are the things we need to take cognizance of some critical areas.

We believe very strongly that the Lord is set to do great things in our lives and bring increase this year. By His grace we will achieve all the Lord has in store for us and we start off our Expansion Series with this study on 6 key factors that will help us align with His plans for our enlargement in the coming year.  Click Here to download the study.

‘…He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.’ Isaiah 53:10

We know God has the capacity to masterfully orchestrate His plan. We also know that people are key to the fulfillment of His plans, so He is always looking for people to partner with Him to execute His agenda. While it is often said that God just needs people that are available, availability is just the starting point.

This means that those who may desire to be key partners in expanding the frontiers of God’s kingdom are signifying that they can be entrusted with more responsibility. Knowing that God is extremely intentional about seeing His agenda through, then it stands to reason that there will be additional things He will look for in selecting those He can work with/through.

This series we are looking at 5 key areas the Bible has shown us that the Lord pays attention to in entrusting people with more. We pray that as we go through this series the Holy Spirit will open our eyes and hearts and prepare us to have the privilege of being those the Lord can consistently point to as those that can be entrusted to prosper His plans. In a symphony orchestra there may be up to 100 or more musicians playing various instruments but despite the size everything flows together in harmony. The orchestra size could make individual musicians feel their contributions may not make a difference, but the conductor knows the sound expected from each instrument and the part it plays in making the symphony work.

Life can be likened to a symphony orchestra where there are several parties whose contributions to our lives add to the totality of who we’re meant to be and what we’re to do according to God’s agenda.

Looking at Jesus as a pattern we should follow, we know that He lived a very intentional life. As we take a closer look, we see that every step of the way there were critical people whose presence in and around His life played a crucial role to the success of His earthly ministry.

In thinking about these critical people our minds may immediately go to the 12 Apostles, but there were a multitude of people God networked into Jesus’s life to enable Him fulfil His assignment.

This series we are taking a deep dive into looking at some of those key people, how their roles in the life of Jesus impacted His earthly ministry. We pray that it will give us an insight into how masterful God is at orchestrating people/networks; how intentional He is about fulfilling His word and how willing and capable He is to do the same for us as He did for Jesus as we commit to Him. ‘You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.’ John 15:16

Being in motion does not necessarily mean moving according to divine instruction. Jesus is extremely intentional about His plans for us and desire for us to bear good, lasting fruit as we fulfil our assignments, which can only come from being in alignment with His will per time.

Accuracy in fulfilling our assignments means we must also be accurate in following Him and His instructions. However, accuracy in the things of God will be impossible without the Holy Spirit providing the critical element of divine counsel, which ensures we’re at the right place at the right time, doing the right thing and getting the right God-ordained results.

‘And he said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Make this valley full of ditches.’ For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’ And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.’ 2 Kings 3:16-18

The kings of Israel, Judah and Edom launched a combined military campaign against Moab but for seven days they and their armies wandered in the wilderness without water and were getting fatigued and despondent. However, the prophet Elisha gave a specific word from the Lord that turned everything around even though it didn’t seem to make sense.

This series we are looking at what digging ditches means for us especially as we fast approach the end of the year. It’s possible that just like the three kings we may be feeling fatigued and perhaps even despondent as well.
