Esther is one of the few books in the Old Testament that does not include a priest or prophet as one of the key characters, rather the focus is how God used an orphan girl and her uncle to deliver the Jews. Through this book we see how God divinely orchestrated events to move these unknown people to be both Queen and the second most important person in the kingdom.
Two major learning points for us are:
- God can use anyone to fulfil His plans. Your background, social status, etc don’t hinder Him in any way.
- God is a master strategist, He knows exactly what needs to be done at any point in time to fulfil His plans.
